Two Holux CF Card GPS Receivers & One Extended Cap for Recon Also Includes One External Antenna 1 Holux GM-270 CF Card Type GPS Receiver 1 Holux GM-270U CF Card Type GPS Receiver 1 External/Extension GPS Antenna Miscellaneous Instructions & Installation Guides for Cap & Cards All Items Are Used But in Great Condition How I Acquired These Items, Etc.: I purchased a TDS Recon last spring. I was interested in adding handheld GPS capability, so I purchased a TDS Locator Kit soon after. I was disappointed with the kit in the beginning. The GM-270 receiver was not acquiring lock in a reasonable time period, even under relatively open sky. Sometimes 45 minutes would pass without lock being acquired. I contacted TDS regarding the position acquisition problem and was unable to get the problem resolved. Thus, I purchased the Holux GM-270-Ultra card. The new Ultra version CF card cured the problems with lock. I was pleased with the ability of the unit to acquire position. However, I sort of lost interest in using the Recon for GPS. Hopefully, my loss will be your gain. The prep work on this one is done. I was more fond of the Pocket Navigator software by Maptech in any case. Watching the GPS card track in real time on a USGS quad was much more interesting than following position on a low resolution aerial photo. Please contact me if you have any additional questions.
